How does a comically wide monitor fare with design work?

In February I got ultra wide curious and decided to take the plunge. I had been having eye strain issues and was frustrated with my multi window juggling. While I previously scoffed at gigantic, curved monitors, I started to come around.

How it went

Ergonomically it's been fantastic, as I detail in the video. It helps my posture as I tended to lean forward on my old display, but sheer size makes this positively impact my back. Eye strain is also reduced!

As for the real estate, that's also been great. Especially as of March where I've started to code more, and multiple windows (including some combination of ChatGPT and Bing) means even more on screen.

As an exploration I think it's a great home office upgrade if you have the funds for it.
